Program of your 10 day trip to Suriname
Day 1: Our starting point is Schiphol Airport from here you fly directly to Paramaribo. At Johan Adolf Pengel airport you will be picked up and brought to your hotel in Paramaribo. Dinner at your own expense.
Day 2: After breakfast, you make a City tour by bus to give you an impression of the history of Suriname. The tour includes historic buildings and statues. You will spend the night at the hotel in Paramaribo. Lunch and dinner at your own expense.
Day 3: Free day, sleep in the hotel in Paramaribo. Lunch and dinner at your own expense.
Day 4: At 8 in the morning you go by bus to Nature park Brownsberg. On Brownsberg you will hike to the Irene fall and spot animals. You will sleep in basic accommodation at Stone Island.
Day 5: Today you will say goodbye to Stone Island and go by bus to Pokigron (Atjoni). By boat, you will travel to maroon village Semoisi. The trip will last for about 3-4 hours. Here you will spend the night.
Dag 6: In Semoisie you will take part in the process of making cassava bread and make a village walk in Semoisi. Your sleeping accommodation is in Semoisi.
Day 7: After you bake your own cassava bread you will hike to the Ananas mountain and go the Tap a Watra Sula to swim. Your sleeping accommodation is again in Semoisi.
Day 8: By boat and bus you go back to Paramaribo. The trip will take about 7 hours and late in the evening you will arrive in Paramaribo and spend the night at the hotel. Dinner at your own expense.
Day 9: Say goodbye to Suriname and fly back to Amsterdam. Transportation to the international airport will be provided.
Day 10: Arrive at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam.

ACCOMMODATION
Accommodations during the 10-day round trip:
In Paramaribo, we use different hotels and apartments. The rooms have air-conditioned each with a private bathroom with hot and cold water. Breakfast is provided and is included. The different accommodations usually have an (indoor/outdoor) swimming pool or ‘plunge pool’ so that you can take a refreshing dive.
There is wifi in the accommodation, so you can keep in touch with the home front online. It is possible to leave luggage temporarily when you make a multi-day tour from Paramaribo. When you return with a backpack full of dirty laundry, you can usually do your laundry for a small fee.
Do you want more luxury in Paramaribo? Then we can tailor a proposal for a 4 hotel. You can indicate this with your application.
Semoisi: We have 1 (one) cabin with a private toilet and bathroom and 2 (two) cabins with outside bathroom and toilet with cold running river water.
Stone Island: Own room including toilet and bathroom with cold running water.
The rooms are based on 2 persons.
Note: Changes can be made to the program depending on the weather and water level of the rivers and a minimum attendance is required.
